Recently a close family member was diagnosed with cancer.
It's a big word, right.
Cancer.
We all know people that have had it. Many survive, some do not.
The first thing I did was find out more information on it.
What type, what stage, how is it treated, how aggressive?
I talked to the doctor.
I read articles.
I found out mortality rates and average timelines.
I needed information.
Why?
Because the right information provides clarity.
And clarity provides certainty.
Without the right information, it's easy to get overwhelmed.
I feel the same way about the economy and COVID-19 right now.
There's a lot of unknown... and education trumps everything.
See, there's a ton of talk in the market about what to do to solve the Caronavirus issues for your business, and while I think it's immediately relevant, there is a much larger issue that you need to be aware of for the long term.
That's the economy and financial fallout that will come with it.
Could we all get by without some form of recession at this point and continue life as usual?
Potentially. I don't agree, but I'll say yes for this argument.
Even if that were true, would the best education from someone that has studied markets, recessions and been leading our industry for a decade be beneficial and provide peace of mind as you navigate darker days?
