Need Web Traffic The Internet Is A Realm Of Endless Possibility

[category ]
[tags ]

The internet is a realm of endless possibility, anyone can go out and start up their own web based business and be successful. Thousands upon thousands of people have already done this, and there is nothing stopping you from getting that same success. The only thing that can stop you is, well, you. The single greatest pitfall potential business owners face is they simply give up. They do not see any returns and think it does not work, so they lose hope and abandon it. But if you stick it out, you can join the statistics of successful internet business owners. But to do that you Need Web Traffic to get to your site. Driving traffic is the most important aspect of owning an online business. The more traffic you get, the better odds you have of selling your product and making money. It's like they always say, even if you make the best business in the world, if nobody knows it exists then you still will not make any money. There are some methods you can use to get people to visit your website that I will share with you. 1: Pay for ads. This method requires money, and so if you are working under a tight budget this may not be an option. But if you can afford it, then purchasing ads with search engines like Google or Yahoo! are a great way to increase awareness of your site's existence. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money, after all. 2: Disperse links. If you Need Web Traffic, then back linking is something you are going to have to do, and likely will have to do a lot. Back linking is where you have another website carry a link to your site. More often than not this is done by submitting articles to article directories, or search directories that will carry your link. 3: Viral marketing. I am sure you have heard of this before, viral marketing is where you get other people to market for you naturally. For example, if you have a youtube video that involves your business and it gets a ton of hits because it is popular, that is all marketing for your website. It can be difficult to pull off, but when it works you will have very noticeable results. 4: Keywords. Like back linking, keywords are a stable of internet marketing. Keywords are the words or phrases people type into google to find what they are looking for. You want to make sure your website is using keywords properly so that the search engines can find your website and put it into the results when people search for that specific keyword. If you Need Web Traffic then following these tips can help you get it. These are not all there is when it comes to internet marketing and there are a lot of finer points you can learn to maximize your gains. But once you get the hang of it and get your business going, it is an easy and secure source of income. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. Ecommerce Marketing Strategy- Within the Realm of Ecommerce

[category ]
[tags ]

Every business needs a marketing strategy, and that includes those within the realm of ecommerce. It is incredibly easy for anybody to start an online business, but the vast majority of them will fail miserably. While there are many reasons that any business can fail, it's a safe bet to say that the successful ones have all implemented an effective ecommerce marketing strategy. The following information will help you set up the best strategy for your internet business. The best marketing strategies are those that are incorporated into the initial planning stages of the business. In other words, consider what your marketing strategy might be while you are figuring out what to sell, selecting a domain name, designing your site, and so on. Marketing is much more than advertising; marketing permeates every aspect of your business and paints a picture of your company and your offer in the minds of your prospects. Don't make the mistake of marketing only after everything else is up and running. You need to have a firm idea of who your target market is before you can start marketing to them. Who is your product for? How old are they? What is their education level? Income? What are there hobbies and interests? What do they identify with? What problems do they have? And the list goes on. The more detailed your image of the ideal customer, the easier your marketing will be. The next step in a good ecommerce marketing strategy is to determine where your customers are most likely to see your message and be receptive to it. You could just plaster a link to your site anywhere and everywhere that will allow you to do so, but if your target audience doesn't go there, or if they perceive your ads as intrusive, then they won't be inclined to follow those links back to your site. For example, if they are likely to be watching music videos, you could put ads on video sites, but you would want to avoid any ads that interrupt the viewing process. Knowing your ideal customer and how best to reach them is a good start, but you also need to market to them using their language. We aren't referring to English, Chinese, or Norwegian, but rather using the terminology they are familiar with. Be careful that you don't overdo it, and that you fully understand their vernacular, otherwise you run the risk of coming across as phony. Once you have all of those things in place, you can decide which methods you want to be a part of your strategy. There are many options for online marketing, and there are also options that can fit into any budget. Again, your decision as to whether or not to use a certain method should be based on how your target market is likely to respond. Now it's just a matter of implementing everything and tracking the results. Test variations and make adjustments as needed. Following this blueprint for an ecommerce marketing strategy will lead you to success. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. The Right E Commerce Marketing Techniques

[category ]
[tags ]

Finding right E commerce marketing techniques is important. Many people underestimate how important it is to their business to have a solid marketing plan in place. Some people think that when they put their website online people will find it and start coming in droves. That may have been true when the internet was new but not so anymore. Today there are millions of sites online, in order for your site to get found you need to implement the right E commerce marketing techniques so your site stands out and gets noticed. Don't worry, it's not really difficult though there are many different components that you must learn and implement. Some basic internet marketing skills will serve you very well. It is also important to remember that the search engines make changes frequently and you need to keep up with those changes. If you don't, you may find a decrease in your traffic. Most smaller internet marketers are steering away from many paid traffic sources such as pay per click (PPC). Though this method can be effective it is very expensive and difficult to properly implement. While you are learning and honing your skills you are paying a lot of money. Since most new businesses don't have really deep pockets this may not be the best option for them. Instead, why not use the highly effective free methods to get more traffic to your site? Things like search engine optimization (SEO) with link building can allow you to get a high rank for your site for a specific keyword. This free traffic is called organic traffic and it is highly targeted and since it is free you don't have to worry about going broke while you are honing your skills. The concept is pretty simple: you pick several keywords to describe what your site is about. You can do keyword research with the free Google keyword tool. You are looking for highly relevant phrases that have relatively low competition and high monthly search volume. When you find a dozen or so of these keywords you can use them right on your site to let the search engines know just what your site is all about. You can include these keywords in the description of your site but also in the content you add to your site. When you add a new piece of content such as a video or an article, you can place one or more of these keyword phrases in that content. Another thing you can do is to build back links to your site. A back link is simply when one site links back to another site. In this case you are getting other sites to link to your site. One of the most common and effective ways to do that is to submit articles to other sites and include a link in that article to your site. Making the link one of your keywords is even more effective. These techniques will allow you to do the work once but continue to drive traffic to your site. The right E commerce marketing techniques will include as many free techniques as possible. After all, if the traffic you get is free the profit you make from each sale will be a lot higher. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. When People and Technology Connect for a Greater Good.

[category ]
[tags ]

By Sandi Hunter Recently at a dear friend's funeral, I heard someone remark that she would live on in our hearts and on her FaceBook page. For some of us there that day, the fact that Isabella still had a FaceBook page including recent posts made it seem she was still here among the living. Later that day I reflected on how much technology and the Internet has changed our lives in such a short time with so much more to come than most of us can imagine. Facebook, Twitter and other social media connect us in ways we never could before. Through these sites we know more of people than we ever knew before. What they are doing, where they are, personal details, photos and more are all posted online. People are willing to share personal details that you may have never known or they would never have told you. Computers once thought to be a past-time only for geeks and the socially awkward have become through the Internet, a powerful way to connect people around the world and as we are seeing more and more, a way to change the world. But there is more, so very more to the benefits this technology offers each of us that extends beyond connecting with people via Facebook and Twitter. Mobile applications now allow people to do their favorite online activities from the convenience of their phone or iPad. While standing in a long line at the grocery store, I noticed 4 out of 10 people tapping away madly on their phones. I snuck a covert look at a couple of them to see they were on Twitter, Facebook, checking email, reading news feeds or firing off a text message. Spend anytime in an airport lounge and the majority of people have phones out and are pre-occupied with something far more interesting then the buzz of the airport around them. Technology is integrated INTO our daily lives - no longer so separated. At any given time thanks to our phones and the Internet we are all connected in a very personal way. Even when we are not in physical contact with our friends and loved ones, we feel that we are still close. No longer chained to our home computer, we can carry on our business, our hobbies and our relationships conveniently from our smart phones. Five years ago when my company, Worldprofit released the Live Business Center it was brand new interactive technology. We were able to stream LIVE video to our website audience. When visitors landed on our site, they were startled to have someone on screen say hello to them. People were shocked and confused! They couldn't understand at first who was talking to them and how they were doing it. Today, years later people are more comfortable with interacting with their computers and phones. FaceTime on the IPhone for example has made it wonderfully easy to connect LIVE face to face with their family and colleagues. Webinars once unknown are common now. Web-based conferences and meetings are convenient for the consumer, a money-saver for corporations and happily a good thing for the environment with fewer people traveling to meetings. Today, Worldprofit offers a personalized version of the Live Business Center that our Members can use and add to their own site. The technology allows them to greet their site visitors, answer their questions, provide customer service, make offers, and close sales, In short , they can connect with prospective customers in real time. Massive unemployment and world turmoil has meant that the number of home based businesses and entrepreneurs has skyrocketed. The Internet has allowed a person working from home incredible freedoms and opportunity to make money by selling products, promoting affiliate marketing programs, blogging, offering web-based services and more. As the world has now surpassed 7 BILLION people, I can't help but think how we may be bigger but through the Internet the world feels smaller and closer. Technology has made all of our lives better. When like-minded people unite, good - even great ideas emerge. Perhaps technology will be what moves us closer to solving problems, finding cures for diseases. Technology powered by PEOPLE is changing our world - for the better - just look at these stories and start to imagine what is yet to come! In September of this year, a group of video game players solved a molecular puzzle that has stumped scientists for years. The gamers accomplished this by using a collaborative online game called "Foldit". Foldit is a computer game that enables players to contribute to important scientific research. The area of focus is proteins and how they fold. Proteins are found in all living things and involved in diseases such as cancer, AIDS and Alzheimer's. According to the people at Foldit, "We're collecting data to find out if humans' pattern-recognition and puzzle-solving abilities make them more efficient than existing computer programs at pattern-folding tasks. If this turns out to be true, we can then teach human strategies to computers and fold proteins faster than ever!" More than 236,000 players have registered for the game, that's a lot of collective brain power to solve problems and a huge and growing body of knowledge from which to draw. What this means is that the door has been opened to discovering "crowd-sourced" solutions to age-old problems including AIDS and other diseases that have plagued mankind. Take the case of the New York Times where readers were invited to solve an actual real-life medical mystery. The basic facts of an illness were made available and readers were asked to diagnose the problem. 300 readers responded, and within the first 30 minutes of posting, a correct diagnosis was made and many more correct answers came in thereafter. Think of the implications for pooled knowledge? A hive of brains working together to solve problems from all corners of the globe. Finally, what happens when great technological minds meet for their own individual purposes but the side-effect of that collaboration being a benefit for all of humanity. Google's Peter Novig and Microsoft's Eric Horvitz recently met to discuss artificial intelligence. These two companies may be fierce business competitors but they both recognize the importance of artificial intelligence to the future of technology. Both of these creative minds spoke publicly about how machine-learning techniques have advanced by taking in large volumes of data and figuring out how to translate text or transcribe speech. As users of the new IPhone 4S already know, Siri, the Voice activated assistant is here now but is only the beginning. Data, mass amounts of data is information. Knowledge is power. The future is so very exciting! Imagine how every human being on the planet will benefit as new technology emerges that can extract specific data for problem resolution for everything from preventing traffic jams, to precise medical diagnosis, to eliminating oil spills, to research and space travel. There are no limits. Facebook was really an accidental early social experiment. What we are learning now is that social media and other massed pooled data may be instrumental in social adaptation and actual survival. A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer

[category ]
[tags ]

Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along. So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this? Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on. The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate?s conversion rates. That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program. Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Noting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future. There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because the marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too. The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer than an unanswered email. To prove that the affiliate is working effectively and efficiently, inquiries would have to be paid more attention on. Nobody wants to be ignored and customers are not always the most patient of all people. Quick answer that should appear professional yet friendly too. In the process of doing all the necessities, the marketer is logged on to a chat room where he or she interacts with other affiliates and those under that same program. This is where they can discuss things on how to best promote their products. There are things to be learned and it is a continuous process. Sharing tips and advices is a good way of showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the discussion that is going on. There is no harm in assuming what opportunities ahead. The newsletters and ezines were updated days ago, so it is time for the affiliate marketer to see if there are some new things happening in the market. This will be written about in the marketer?s publication to be distributed to the old and new customers. These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about. Besides, they have to keep up with the deadline of these sales written in the publications. It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they have done that made everything worked. Of course, this will be published in the newsletters. Among the more important information that have been written already. The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the products being promoted. There is also time to post some comments on how to be a successful affiliate marketer on a site where there are lots of wannabees. Two objectives done at the same time. The marketer gets to promote the product as well as the program they are in. Who knows, someone may be inclined to join. Time flies. Missed lunch but is quite contented with the tasks done. Bed time?. Ok, so this may not be all done in a day. But then, this gives you an idea of how an affiliate marketer, a dedicated one that is, spends the marketing day. Is that success looming in the distance or what? CPP_author John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. How To Thank Your Customers Using Mobile Marketing

[category ]
[tags ]

Mobile marketing is one of the latest and greatest methods of advertising for business of many kinds. If it is done correctly, it can really increase the traffic to a website or number of customers to a store. Use the following tips to help you incorporate mobile marketing into your marketing plan. Make your messages relevant. This is the most important aspect of mobile marketing. A text message can be very personal and it interrupts someone no matter what they are in the middle of doing. Avoid re-purposing an e-mail. Your text message should be short and very relevant to the audience whom you are sending them out to. Offer special discounts or value to your mobile marketing customers. Because mobile followers usually require customers to elect to receive information, make it worthwhile for them to enroll. By offering greater discounts or better offers than those available through your web site or print marketing, you can increase the number of customers enrolled in your mobile program. Be short and concise with your SMS messages for your mobile marketing campaign. Messages are limited to 160 characters, so put some thought into how to convey your information clearly yet briefly. If you use abbreviations in your messages, make sure they are commonly accepted and make sense to your customers. Make sure your advertisements work for all types of mobile devices. If your programming is only accessible by one type, like an Android, you will lose out on entire populations of prospective clients from other platforms. Using cross-platform programming is the best method to attract the most customers to your business. Get a location. Using a defined location on your media and mobile marketing actually interests a lot of customers. They like knowing where a business is, should they ever choose to visit that area. Take advantage of this by informing your customers of your actual location, and watch their interest grow. Decide now whether you're going to use QR or 2D codes in your mobile campaign. Your audience may not understand how to leverage certain technology out there, so you need to ensure that you're going with something current, popular and people-friendly. You're marketing to basic folks; not everyone will be tech-savvy. Your natural inclination may be to send out unsolicited messages with your new mobile marketing campaign, but spamming people is never the way to go in any campaign. It is a huge turn-off and can possibly leave a permanent stain on your reputation and cause you to lose regular customers. Enlist the help of friends and family to try out the effectiveness of intended advertising campaigns, mailings, websites and more. To get a truly unbiased opinion, you could pay an outside firm to test out your campaign. Take the tips that you have learned through this article and apply them to your marketing plan. Your business is sure to benefit from the time and the energy that you put into your mobile marketing campaign. Keep with your plan and you are sure to see the results you seek. [category ]
[tags ]

Internet marketing is no easy feat. There are an overwhelming number of opportunities for you to post ads, reach out to potential customers and send out your marketing slogans. However, how to start off and keep organized throughout the process, is easier than you might think. Take a look at the tips offered in this article and you will find yourself on the way to your internet marketing goals in no time. Effective internet marketing involves including information that is geared for all of your readers. Some people are very knowledgeable about the product you are selling, and others may have just come across it recently. Include basic information about the product using simple terms and then add complicated technical information. This will help you increase sales by providing a little something for everyone. While it is true that a lot of Internet marketers are able to advertise their sites and products without spending money at all, this is something that is incredibly rare. Blog businesses hosted on free sites that make 50k a year are pretty much dying off. You will need to invest some money, if only for a legitimate website and some keyword campaigns. Successful internet marketing depends upon your products being easily and readily available. If your products are easy to order, you will have increased sales. So try to look at things from a customer's viewpoint, even going as far as to buy some of your own products. This way you will know if there are any issues with the ordering process. If you come across any difficulties, don't hesitate to fix them. Err on the side of caution if you are unsure of what font or style to choose for your website. Not everyone will have perfect sight, especially the older visitors to your page, so use a font that is clear, large and legible if you want to improve the overall experience of your visitors. Use videos to advertise your website. Online videos are the latest craze in internet marketing. Many sites use online video sharing sites to link videos about their website to the site itself. It is among the latest, cutting edge methods of marketing today. If expense is a concern, there are plenty of low-budget options available. It's well known that writing articles with unique content is an effective online marketing technique. However, knowing how to format those articles to make them appealing to potential buyers is another matter. Studies have shown that people tend to skim online articles. So how can you use this information to your advantage? Write articles with bulleted lists, emphasize key words or phrases by capitalizing or underlining them or by using bold or italicized letters, use subheadings and keep your paragraphs short and to the point. If you don't have the full skill set needed to start with Internet Marketing you shouldn't fret. Internet marketing is great because there is a lot of hands on experience available. The best way to start is simply to start. Find a very basic domain name and see what you can do to improve it. It is important to make the internet marketing experience for your customer as pleasant as possible by providing a website that doesn't look cheap. If you can't afford a professional website design, consider taking a low cost course at a local county college and spruce up your site with the tips that you learn. No matter what you're changing about your business, whether it's a big change or a simple change of page layout, make sure you tell your customers about it. Keep them informed on everything that's happening with your business. This is easy to do with mass mailers, so there's no excuse not to do it. Avoid spam, deceitful tricks, and scams. Doing business this way can be tempting at times, especially when the internet feels so anonymous, but they are not worth the potential loss. Tactics such as these might bring a short-term money gain, but they will ruin your reputation and could potentially destroy the business you have worked so hard to create. While internet marketing can seem overwhelming, the advice in this article promises to keep your strategies focused and yielding significant results. Concentrate your efforts in the best way possible and maximize the time you put forth into generating online marketing techniques. The tips listed above ensure a way to get started on your online marketing goals, simply and effectively. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. Advice That Every Home Business Owner Should Know

[category ]

You need to have some knowledge of what to do and expect from a home business. You need to know what resources are available to you and who can provide you answers as to what you need for the future of your business. The tips below can help you start. Do not get caught up in multi-level marketing and get-rich-quick schemes. Your home business should be a legitimate idea, that sells a product or service. If you start gearing yourself towards what seems too good to be true, then you are spinning your wheels. Devise a solid business plan of your own and attain the resources to make it come to life. You should never try to work for a company that has ethics and values that do not mirror your own. It is hard to convince someone to invest in a business idea or product that you are selling if they can tell that you are not a fan of it yourself. If you are just getting started it is a good idea to offer something free to your customers. Many people do not want to invest their money into something they are not sure of, so offering them free products/services will give them an idea of what you are selling and let them know the quality of it. Obtain all necessary permits and licenses. If you sell a product, you may need a state sales-tax certificate, and if customers visit your home, you may need an occupancy permit. License and zoning laws can be complicated but can usually be found online. If you're unsure, it's best to hire a lawyer. Obeying the laws will help you avoid being fined or even losing your business. If it is possible, attempt to start your home business before leaving your current job. This will allow you to have a steady salary while you begin building the new company. This will also give you a cushion in the unfortunate, but realistic possibility of failure or even complete bankruptcy. Take the time to showcase your knowledge of your product to others. Write online articles and put your contact information in them. Search for seminars that you can participate in and think of other opportunities to become involved. The reputation of your home business will increase the more you put yourself out there. Use an attention-grabbing name for your website domain. There are many different websites and you want to make sure that yours stands out from the rest. A catchy name can be the perfect thing to get traffic to your site, it will be easy for a potential customer to remember and easy for them to access. Find a home business venture that you are actually interested in! This will benefit you in the long run! Otherwise, working from home will be much less enjoyable and a more difficult task. To make a success determine your interests, goals and capabilities - before you become involved in any business! Your home business website will benefit from things such as search engine optimization. Make friends with people in the same industry, so you can swap banner links with each other. This boosts your page rankings on major search engines, making your website a higher priority among search results. This is an excellent way to boost traffic. As you have seen in the above tips, there is a lot of knowledge, you can acquire before starting and maintaining a home business, and it is this knowledge that can help you with your future. Do everything you must to ensure the success of your home business for the future. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. How to Generate Traffic Using A Facebook

[category ]
[tags ]

In the age of Web 2.0, driving traffic to your website is not all about search engine optimization (SEO). Part and parcel of an effective Internet marketing strategy is to ensure that your website is also present in the realm of social networks and media sharing. Visitors do not only arrive at websites only through search results, but also through links that their peers share through these social networks. What social networking platform could be more important than Facebook, the world's largest? With over 800 million active users, your website stands to reach a wide variety of audience through Facebook, and sometimes all it takes is one "Like" button in your webpages. How to generate traffic using a Facebook "Like" button on your site? A Facebook "Like" button is a stamp of approval that visitors may click when they literally like the content of your blog. Experience with video-sharing site YouTube indicates that visitors prefer a like-dislike system instead of a rating system when expressing approval or disapproval for content. Facebook modifies this model and only has "Like" buttons that third-party content may use in their customized pages. What makes the "Like" button extra special for Internet marketers is its content sharing component. Visitors who click the "Like" button automatically share the links to their Facebook profiles, which can, in turn, be viewed by people in their respective networks. If your content is good enough, the Facebook "Like" button serves as a form of endorsement by the people potential visitors trust the most--their personal contacts. Viral blog posts are created this way. When putting Facebook "Like" buttons in your website or your blog posts, remember to put it in two positions: the top and the foot of a webpage or a blog post. With the now-familiar appearance of the "Like" button, approval and sharing should only be a click away. SEO should still be of high importance, but you will never go wrong with a few Facebook links here and there. INSERT CALL TO ACTION HERE John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. Motivate New Business For Your Web Site

[category ]
[tags ]

Once you get your online business up and running and get traffic going to it, it can be pretty easy to manage. This ease of management is one of the big selling points for owning an online business. Simple oversight and a little work every day can keep it running smoothly, earning you a consistent income. While this is how it is most of the time, this is not necessarily true for every internet based business. Sometimes you will need to Motivate new business for your web site in order to keep it going. This can be a bit of a challenge since you still need to stay true to your original business model, but you also need to keep things fresh and entice people to visit your website and buy your product. There are three things you can do to help you out with this. 1: Play into desire. People want what they want. People will also be willing to part with a fair bit of cash if it can get them what they want. So as a business owner, you need to try and give them what they want. If you can feed into this desire, you can keep them coming back for more. If your current business model is not cutting it, try to branch out to similar products that people may desire to keep your business going. 2: Enjoyment. Another way to Motivate new business for your web site is to show potential customers that they can enjoy the product they buy from you. It does not necessarily have to be enjoyment in the sense of a child playing with a toy, but if you are selling say... self help books. Then make them think they will get a lot out of your product and thus enjoy purchasing it since it gives them what they want. As stated above, desire is a powerful motivator, does not hurt to try and make them desire your product. 3: Fear. A common and effective method is to invoke a little fear. If you read through websites trying to sell you a product, you might pick up on a little scare tactic going on. It plays into the human psyche in making them feel as if they need something. By making them think they will lose something by not buying your product, you make them more willing to buy your product. Obviously this does not mean to intimidate them, it is all about wording, as you probably noticed from other websites. Trying to Motivate new business for your web site can be a bit tricky since it means you have to expand, or at the very least find new ways to promote your product. These three tips may or may not work given what exactly you are selling, or maybe you already follow them. But for those of you who can utilize these tips, they can provide you with a means of increasing sales. There are still many more methods out there for you to use as well, so whether these work or not you should still seek out more ways to build up your business. Internet Marketing Today-Understand So You Make Money

[category ]
[tags ]

The internet is still pretty mysterious to most people. Sure everyone knows about it and has a basic understanding, but many concepts still prove elusive for most people. One such concept being the ability to make money on the internet. Most people still can not understand how this is possible, or worse, they think it is exceptionally easy. The truth is, internet marketing today is not impossible nor is it all that easy. While you can certainly make money online, it takes a long time and a lot of hard work and dedication on your part in order to succeed. You have to always remember, if you plan on starting your own online business, that it is still a business. All the things you would do if you went and opened a department store, you still have to do most of those things with an internet based business. To help you make your business and grow it to be successful are some of the following tips. 1: Be sure you are ready. I can not stress this enough, but way too many people go into this all hyped up and with misconceptions. This is not some easy scheme to get quick cash, and it will require a lot of work and it can take months for you to see any return. If you accept these facts and are still willing to deal with internet marketing today, then you are one step closer to success. 2: Set up a schedule. Like with any business, you need a set schedule. While the nice thing about owning your own online business is that you can work when you want, where you want, you still do need some structure. So set up a plan for when you will work and how long you will work each day, and then stick to it. Many people will poke at their business every week or two and then complain it is not working. You need to work it almost every single day. 3: Pick a niche. Once you have a dedicated work schedule, you need to decide what exactly you are going to be working on. Figuring out what kind of product you are going to sell is an important step. Is it a service or a physical product? Is it extremely mainstream and sells well, thus having a lot of competition? Or is it more obscure? You need to get just the right mix of obscurity so you do not have overwhelming competition, but also popularity so you can still make money. 4: Market your business. Once you have your niche, then you need to start marketing it. This is the single hardest, and most time consuming process. Until people are consistently visiting your website, until it is ranked highly on Google, until you are making money, it will seem like a lot of hard work for nothing. But keep at it. The internet marketing today can be quite competitive and it can be hard knowing what to do or where to start. That coupled with the fact that you will be doing a lot of work without ever seeing a penny for a long time means many people fail. But if you do your research and keep your head held high and on straight, you can be just as successful as all those big time gurus. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. Engaging Your Audience, Growing Your Boards By Running Contests

[category ]
[tags ]

Today we are going to jump right in and talk about engaging your audience, growing your boards by running contests. As we well know the purpose of Pinterest is to allow people to "pin" photos they find on the internet or upload from their computers to their virtual pinboard's. This powerful social network makes it easy for anyone to organize collections, share ideas and even product pictures, so that consumers can find and share them with others. To ensure that you are engaging your audience and growing your boards you can do several things, including launching a Pinterest contest. Running a pinning contest can be a great way to promote your pins, boards and especially your business. There are many types of contests you can run on Pinterest including "pin it to win it,? ?best photo contest? or ?re-pin/like contest.? The first thing to consider is what type of contest you're going to run? - Will it be a good fit for your business? - Will it help raise brand awareness and engage consumers? - What type of prizes will you give away? - How long is it going to last? It's important to have a good idea of what results you would like to achieve by running the contest. This will help you prepare properly and achieve your goals effectively. Now let's go over a few different types of contests you can run: - Pin To Win Contest Is this where you have your contestants create a board specifically dedicated to your contest. On this board you will instruct them to pin specific images. They can be photos of your products or images related to a certain theme topic. The most creative board wins. Kraft Food's recently did this in their "Pin It To Win It" recipe contest. This is a very good example of how to run a popular contest on Pinterest. You can find the entries by doing a search on Pinterest with the term #kraftrecipes (notice how they used the hashtag) or by going to: http://www.kraftrecipes.com/promotions/pinterest-rules.aspx The contest is over now, but you can still use it as an example. - Photo Contest This is where your contestants pin images of themselves actually using your products in a creative way. Then you have your site visitors and other pinner's vote on the most creative images. The contestant with the most votes wins. - Repining Contest This is where contestants are asked to repin specific images and write descriptions using specific hashtags. This type of contest can help jumpstart the viral nature of your pins by utilizing Pinterest's ?repin? feature as a means to enter. It can also be the most effective in building brand awareness, because the winner will be the follower who repins the most. - Comment Contest This is one of the simplest types of contests to run. This is where contestants are asked to leave comment on a specific pin. You can have them include the hashtag or answer a question and the most informative comment will win. This type of contest is quick, easy and allows anyone to enter. Not to mention, generates a lot of interest. Here are a few quick tips that will help ensure your contest will be a big success: - When getting ready for your contest be sure to post clear, easy to follow rules for your contestants. - Include a start and end date for your contest. - Monitor every phase of your contest carefully. Keep track of entries to ensure everyone is entering correctly and not breaking the rules. - Give a prize that your contestants will really want to work for to win. To - Consider giving first, second and consolation prizes to your finalists. - Make it's easy to enter. A social media contest should be simple and not require lengthy forms or mail-ins to enter. This will only deter people from participating. As of now, Pinterest doesn't have any formal rules pertaining to running contests or sweepstakes, but before you begin your contest you want to make sure that you are complying with your state?s rules and regulations regarding sweepstakes. If you decide that running a contest on Pinterest will be a good fit for your business, but you're not quite sure where to start you can always visit the site and look at ongoing contests from other Pinterest users. This way you can watch what works and what doesn't so that you can plan your own contest more effectively. TIP: Use the search term "#contest" Truly, there's no doubt that you can use Pinterest to help promote brand awareness, create buzz and attract more customers, so why not make it fun by hosting your own Pinterest contest. Converting Your Regular Twitter Followers Into Lifelong Customers

[category ]
[tags ]

Let's jump right in and talk about how you can use Twitter to conduct your market research. Every business has a target market, but the simple fact is that many business owners often miss the mark because they don?t know the true needs of their market. By using Twitter, you can easily listen to the needs of your prospects, the issues they are currently facing and the kind of help that they want. Whenever you meet someone new on Twitter it's a good idea to try to establish a good relationship from the start. Think like your customer. You buy from people who you trust and like. Your target market also behaves the same way. It is important, especially in social marketing that you get to know your clients and do your best to win their trust and confidence. A good rule of thumb is to try and keep ninety percent of your tweets full of helpful content and try to limit your promotional ones. By doing so, you can attract more followers and hopefully customers. In order to show off your expertise on Twitter you will want to post quality content on your blogs, website and other sites, like article directory EzineArticles.com. Then share them with your followers. There are a wide variety of tools that work with Twitter that will automatically check the blogs you?ve posted and share them instantly on your page. Offering educational materials, seminars, video training and networking events will also go a long way when you are trying to convert your followers into paying customers. As a matter of fast I recently came across a great website that allows you to stream live video on your Twitter page and chat real time with your followers, so if you're not camera shy, plug in your webcam! This will be a fantastic way to make an instant connection for you and your peeps. You can find out more here: http://twitcam.com There are so many different techniques that you can use to help the transition from follower to customer by using Twitter. Just remember to keep the value of your content high and the volume of your promotions low and you will begin to see real results from your efforts. Improve Internet Marketing Strategy By Offering Value

[category ]
[tags ]

Do you want to improve your internet marketing strategy for your business? Have you found that what you are currently doing is not taking you far enough? Are you struggling to get to the next level? The best thing you can do to improve internet marketing strategy is to value your customers. Unfortunately, many marketers see their customers as ?marks.? If they buy your snake oil and don?t like it, there are millions of more fish in the sea. But if you want to improve internet marketing strategy, you need to change your mindset. A customer relationship is a valuable thing. There are two parts to this. It is much more expensive to acquire a customer than it is to keep one. Once you have sold a product to a satisfied customer, they are much more likely to come back for more. That?s one reason why it is important to develop an maintain a list. Once you have established value with a customer, you are able to go back to them with new product offers. Customers buy from people they trust. This is true whether you are selling affiliate products or your own products. If you are selling affiliate products, and people trust you to make recommendations, they will buy through your links. Think about the books that serve as ?guides? for travelers. Hotels fight to get ?5 star? ratings from various directories because it can significantly increase their business. Affiliate programs should be vying to have you recommend them because a recommendation from you should bring in a flood of traffic. If you are selling your own products, this remains true as well. If you sell a customer an initial product and he or she likes it, they will probably be interested in a similar product you have to sell as well. Bring them into your product funnel. You should plan upsells and down sells for each product you sell. Look at ways to repackage the products to add value. For instance, you can turn an ebook into an audio book and sell it again. Or, you can turn a bunch of short reports into one package. If you value your customers, you will improve internet marketing strategy all around. P.T. Barnum is ?famous? for saying, ?there?s a fool born every minute.? The truth is there is absolutely no record of him saying this. Joe Vitale named his biography of Barnum ?There?s a Customer Born Every Minute.? That?s the mindset you should have if you want to really improve internet marketing strategy. If you see the people on your list and the people who visit your website as customers, you will develop relationships that will last for many years. If you treat them as ?fools? they may buy once, but they will be loath to ever purchase something from you again. Furthermore, when you treat people as ?marks,? it cheapens the whole buying online experience in general. It drives people to ?big names? like Amazon rather than the smaller distributors who can offer real value. Don?t fall into the ?fool? trap. See and treat your customers as valuable ? because they are. That?s how you improve internet marketing strategy. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com.
