How To Generate Traffic Using LinkedIn

[category ]
[tags ]

LinkedIn is a great social networking site that if used properly, can help increase your website traffic. The icing on the cake is that Microsoft just bought Linkedin, adding it to the MSN/Bing portfolio, which means it will bolster it's network presence and allow it to compete with google and facebook. Not only do you have to create a LinkedIn profile, you also have to submit the name and the link of your business website to the Website Section of LinkedIn so that people visiting your profile can visit your site too. Keeping the LinkedIn status message constantly updated with a few words about the things you work on or the product or services you offer helps generate website traffic. Make sure you add the blog link widget to your LinkedIn profile so that it automatically informs your profile visitors about the latest blog and Twitter updates you make. Just becoming a member of LinkedIn will not help generate website traffic; you have to be active with regular visits to the site and constant update of your profile. By joining various groups related to your field of work, you increase your website visibility and also draw in more traffic to your site. You have to apply to a group in LinkedIn before you can become a member of it; so make sure you select only groups with many members in it so that your site gets maximum exposure and visibility. Answering some of the questions posted in the LinkedIn website helps draw traffic to your site. Start group discussions by posting interesting questions to the group or by offering helpful information that is perhaps located in your site, and use this as a means of gaining exposure for your business. You have to increase the number of LinkedIn contacts you have by asking other members of LinkedIn to become your contacts. Once you develop the number of LinkedIn contacts you have, you have to send them messages to try and understand their needs and if you have something they may be interested in, you could slowly offer them a solution to their problem. These tips will help you dramatically increase your website traffic just by becoming a part of the social networking site, LinkedIn. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. Internet Marketing Trends - Will Make You Are Break You

[category ]
[tags ]

As more and more people are getting tuned into the idea of making money online, internet marketing trends are constantly and quickly evolving. Being able to identify the trends and tap into them with an up-to-date marketing plan can really set you ahead in your business. Here are just a few of the current hot trends: The Economy Today's rough economy is the subject of many business conversations. <p> This goes for internet marketing as well. We will continue to see recession-proof internet businesses being marketed as well as various money-saving plans, tools, clubs and forums. If you aren't already bringing up the state of the economy in your marketing, it's time to start. <p> Less Hype Marketing For a while, one of the biggest Internet marketing trends included lots of hype. So the web was made up of one big glaringly flashy advertisement after another, each competing for your attention. It finally seems to be hitting home that flash and hype is not the way to go. While it might initially capture some interest from your target audience, you'll need to support it with great high-value content to keep them interested. <p> Your customers are looking for solutions to their problems - make sure that you offer these in your marketing message. The money is NOT in the list (exactly) Most of you have heard the saying. . ."the money is in the list" or the leads that you can generate from your marketing. This is not exactly true. Building up a huge list really won't do you much good unless you actually interact with the people on the list. <p> The money is in the relationships that you develop with the people on your list. Learn how to develop relationships with people by using auto-responders, participating in forums, Facebook and Twitter, etc. Niche Marketing Along With the economic downturn, businesses are focusing on more and more narrow niches. This is counter-intuitive but smaller, more targeted niches will bring you more traffic than large broad ones. Social marketing continues to dominate And more and more businesses are tapping into this trend. It's been proven that adding videos to your marketing mix increases traffic to your site as well as the amount of time a person spends on your page. <p> Along with all of the other social media tools, the use of video is increasing dramatically. Some people are intimidated by the idea of doing videos. The important thing to remember is that your potential customers want to see other real people, not some sort of corporate actor, so just be yourself and you will draw more people to you and your business. Quick customer service If you want to maintain relationships with your customers, you must respond to their needs immediately. If you can't, they will turn to your competitor who can. Knowing and understanding these general Internet marketing trends and then adapting your business to keep up with them can really put you at an advantage.<p>  John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. How You Can use Facebook To Attract New Customers

[category ]
[tags ]

Some business owners ask, why is it important to establish online presence through social networking sites particularly Facebook even when you already have an official website? Simple, because Facebook is more accessible and to most, more user-friendly than any traditional website will ever be. It gives a sense of friendliness to business that puts prospects at ease and lends a sense of credibility to businesses who have no website to speak of. Aside from this, a Facebook page allows a business to be more interactive with present and potential customers, getting their feedback for everything from product reviews to testimonials. While it may seem scary because you can be given both positive and negative feedback, businesses should not be afraid because with Facebook it can be easily moderated. If you have a mind to you can retain the best feedback and hide the rest. This way, most potential customers will be able to read the positive testimonials of previous customers. Such feedback adds a touch of authenticity to your business, and can entice the potential customer reading it. Furthermore, customers who are tired of traditional online marketing such as email, newsletters and online ads will look to the Facebook page to have their questions answered. Having a Facebook page will give your business access to over 500 Million users without even having to buy e-mail addresses like what traditional email marketing resort to. Interaction isn't limited to Facebook updates and wall posts though. You can also use Apps to provide photos, notes and videos. When using a Fanpage which is the recommended page for businesses (instead of the more personal profile page), you can change the posting ability of fans which allow them to post photos, videos and links to the page. This way, potential customers will be able to see how other customers use the product or service. Again, this can engage the community to be more interactive as was successfully executed by the Pampers? Facebook Fanpage. Other companies like Ben & Jerry?s go as far as polling customers. This gives customers a sense of power with regards to their products, which in turn will give them a sense of ownership and acceptance. Facebook is also a great tool to gain audience to promos, special prices and discounts as in the case of the company rushIMPRINT, who use their page to feature their products for sale. The site easily leads back to their official website as well as their toll free number. Some even use Facebook to give exclusive deals to their customers. This is a good way to gauge the effectively of your page.Various incentives can be given exclusively to Facebook users which aren't accessible by those who follow you through e-mail, Twitter or your official website. Other companies such as Baskin Robbins develop and use a Facebook application to make their Facebook page more interactive and enticing to customers. Through their account, they?re giving out a very enticing deal, a Buy One, get one promo that most enthusiasts will not surpass. Facebook is an easy tool to master and can add just the right sense of fun, differentiating you and your business from the rest in the market. When People and Technology Connect for a Greater Good.

[category ]
[tags ]

By Sandi Hunter Recently at a dear friend's funeral, I heard someone remark that she would live on in our hearts and on her FaceBook page. For some of us there that day, the fact that Isabella still had a FaceBook page including recent posts made it seem she was still here among the living. Later that day I reflected on how much technology and the Internet has changed our lives in such a short time with so much more to come than most of us can imagine. Facebook, Twitter and other social media connect us in ways we never could before. Through these sites we know more of people than we ever knew before. What they are doing, where they are, personal details, photos and more are all posted online. People are willing to share personal details that you may have never known or they would never have told you. Computers once thought to be a past-time only for geeks and the socially awkward have become through the Internet, a powerful way to connect people around the world and as we are seeing more and more, a way to change the world. But there is more, so very more to the benefits this technology offers each of us that extends beyond connecting with people via Facebook and Twitter. Mobile applications now allow people to do their favorite online activities from the convenience of their phone or iPad. While standing in a long line at the grocery store, I noticed 4 out of 10 people tapping away madly on their phones. I snuck a covert look at a couple of them to see they were on Twitter, Facebook, checking email, reading news feeds or firing off a text message. Spend anytime in an airport lounge and the majority of people have phones out and are pre-occupied with something far more interesting then the buzz of the airport around them. Technology is integrated INTO our daily lives - no longer so separated. At any given time thanks to our phones and the Internet we are all connected in a very personal way. Even when we are not in physical contact with our friends and loved ones, we feel that we are still close. No longer chained to our home computer, we can carry on our business, our hobbies and our relationships conveniently from our smart phones. Five years ago when my company, Worldprofit released the Live Business Center it was brand new interactive technology. We were able to stream LIVE video to our website audience. When visitors landed on our site, they were startled to have someone on screen say hello to them. People were shocked and confused! They couldn't understand at first who was talking to them and how they were doing it. Today, years later people are more comfortable with interacting with their computers and phones. FaceTime on the IPhone for example has made it wonderfully easy to connect LIVE face to face with their family and colleagues. Webinars once unknown are common now. Web-based conferences and meetings are convenient for the consumer, a money-saver for corporations and happily a good thing for the environment with fewer people traveling to meetings. Today, Worldprofit offers a personalized version of the Live Business Center that our Members can use and add to their own site. The technology allows them to greet their site visitors, answer their questions, provide customer service, make offers, and close sales, In short , they can connect with prospective customers in real time. Massive unemployment and world turmoil has meant that the number of home based businesses and entrepreneurs has skyrocketed. The Internet has allowed a person working from home incredible freedoms and opportunity to make money by selling products, promoting affiliate marketing programs, blogging, offering web-based services and more. As the world has now surpassed 7 BILLION people, I can't help but think how we may be bigger but through the Internet the world feels smaller and closer. Technology has made all of our lives better. When like-minded people unite, good - even great ideas emerge. Perhaps technology will be what moves us closer to solving problems, finding cures for diseases. Technology powered by PEOPLE is changing our world - for the better - just look at these stories and start to imagine what is yet to come! In September of this year, a group of video game players solved a molecular puzzle that has stumped scientists for years. The gamers accomplished this by using a collaborative online game called "Foldit". Foldit is a computer game that enables players to contribute to important scientific research. The area of focus is proteins and how they fold. Proteins are found in all living things and involved in diseases such as cancer, AIDS and Alzheimer's. According to the people at Foldit, "We're collecting data to find out if humans' pattern-recognition and puzzle-solving abilities make them more efficient than existing computer programs at pattern-folding tasks. If this turns out to be true, we can then teach human strategies to computers and fold proteins faster than ever!" More than 236,000 players have registered for the game, that's a lot of collective brain power to solve problems and a huge and growing body of knowledge from which to draw. What this means is that the door has been opened to discovering "crowd-sourced" solutions to age-old problems including AIDS and other diseases that have plagued mankind. Take the case of the New York Times where readers were invited to solve an actual real-life medical mystery. The basic facts of an illness were made available and readers were asked to diagnose the problem. 300 readers responded, and within the first 30 minutes of posting, a correct diagnosis was made and many more correct answers came in thereafter. Think of the implications for pooled knowledge? A hive of brains working together to solve problems from all corners of the globe. Finally, what happens when great technological minds meet for their own individual purposes but the side-effect of that collaboration being a benefit for all of humanity. Google's Peter Novig and Microsoft's Eric Horvitz recently met to discuss artificial intelligence. These two companies may be fierce business competitors but they both recognize the importance of artificial intelligence to the future of technology. Both of these creative minds spoke publicly about how machine-learning techniques have advanced by taking in large volumes of data and figuring out how to translate text or transcribe speech. As users of the new IPhone 4S already know, Siri, the Voice activated assistant is here now but is only the beginning. Data, mass amounts of data is information. Knowledge is power. The future is so very exciting! Imagine how every human being on the planet will benefit as new technology emerges that can extract specific data for problem resolution for everything from preventing traffic jams, to precise medical diagnosis, to eliminating oil spills, to research and space travel. There are no limits. Facebook was really an accidental early social experiment. What we are learning now is that social media and other massed pooled data may be instrumental in social adaptation and actual survival. Automating Your Marketing

[category ]
[tags ]

One easy way of automating the list building process with Twitter is by using the services of www.SocialOomph.com You can send out automatic direct messages to those who begin to follow your updates. These automated messages could include a direct link to your website, blog or better yet ? your squeeze page where you offer each Twitter user a free incentive, such as a report, ebook, article content or guide based on your niche market. When it comes to using Social Oomph to build your list and initiate first contact with those that follow you, be sure that the product you are offering on your squeeze page is extremely focused on your niche market and offers something of value. You don?t want to give away a product that is already saturated online, such as outdated PLR. Try to offer something original, even if it?s a short report or mini-product, the more exclusive it is to your list, the more likely that your visitors will subscribe to your newsletter. Just like with every other social community, your marketing campaign needs to be tweaked and offered in a slightly very different format that caters to their desire to network with other like-minded individuals. This means that you want to make sure your automated DM message, as well as every tweet you broadcast is seemingly written for the benefit of the reader, rather than direct advertisements. Posting entertaining and useful tweets is an important part of successfully building your online business with twitter, however you want to focus on spending your time wisely and ensuring that each tweet is productive in helping you further your brand, right? This is where twitter link bait comes into play. Rather than posting a link to a direct news story, post a summary of it on your blog and direct people to your page in order to read the message you are broadcasting. This is a passive aggressive marketing tactic that works very well within twitter, because rather than directly trying to sell to your following base, you are simply posting about something you found interesting, useful or entertaining. Once you have them on your blog, they?ll likely explore your website and if you?ve done your job of developing relationships with your following base and staying active within the twitter community, it will be a lot easier to convince them to subscribe to your newsletter or purchase your products. Show people that you are interested in getting to know them, what they are interested in, what they are looking for. Focus on giving, more than receiving and you will quickly discover, just how effective twitter can be in helping you further your brand and building your online business. By answering questions and providing help, tips or advice on questions that people have, you can establish yourself as a credible source for information within your niche market, quickly and easily. [category ]

Did you know that Pinterest is one of the fastest-growing social networking sites in history? Surpassing even Facebook and Twitter in terms of rapid growth, with its user base of over 10 million people spending an average of an hour or more a day pinning, repining and sharing images. Even though it's only been around for a short time this extremely popular image-based network is quickly changing the face of social media and there is no doubt that it can be both fun and beneficial from business standpoint. As the fastest growing social network site, Pinterest has and almost addictive visual appeal to consumers, making it an excellent platform for promoting brand awareness, products and services in a wide variety of markets such as DIY, sports, crafts, fashion, foods, and many more. On Pinterest users, referred to as "pinner's" can easily pin images and photos from the Internet, their computers, smart phones and from inside the Pinterest network to their own pinboard's with a simple click or two. There are several ways that you can make your Pinterest marketing efforts more effective, for instance; You can link your Pinterest account with your Twitter and/or Facebook account during registration, making sharing on multiple social networks more convenient and fun. You can display photos and digital images of your business logo, products and services to drive more traffic and sales. You can also pin audio's and videos to create a more interactive experience for your followers. Be sure that you share other people's images frequently. The Pinterest platform makes sharing quick and easy. Their built-in system ensures that when you repin an image, the user who first pinned it will also get credit. Repin?s always maintain the source-link of the image no matter how many times it?s repined and by incorporating hash tags, links, and embeds you will always get credited when other users repin your image, which makes this network an amazing viral marketing tool! Pinterest also provides other share-ability features such as; Connect, Like, Comment and Embed that not only help you share your pins, it helps with search engine optimization as well. Not only is pinning simple it can be integrated to your website by placing a Pinterest ?Follow? or ?Pinit? button on your website or blog, making it easy for pinner?s to pin images directly from your site and spread your message. You can grow your popularity by joining and following interest groups, commenting on other peoples pins and by posting new images to your boards regularly. Ebook Internet Marketing Strategy The Book The Salesletter And The Delivery System

[category ]
[tags ]

An Ebook internet marketing strategy can vary from plan to plan, but the most important thing is that you do have a plan. Some people write a report or even a large tome with no plan as to how to sell it. There?s an ?if you build it, they will come,? mentality. In this article, I?m going to give you an ebook internet marketing strategy. The first ebook internet marketing strategy I?m going to discuss is the scenario where you haven?t actually written the product yet. This is the best way to go. If you have already written your ebook but still need a strategy, I will discuss that in the second half of the article. First of all, you are going to have to decide on the delivery mechanism. For instance, is this something you are going to promote on clickbank? Are you going to promote it to your list only? Are you going to get JV partners? All of these things should be taken into account before you do anything else. For instance, if you are going to sell through clickbank, you will need to develop affiliate tools as part of the sales letter process. If you are going to be working with JV partners, you need to get them lined up. So, start working on the mechanism first. Next, you are going to write your sales letter. Yes, this ebook internet marketing strategy calls for the sales letter before the book is ever written. Promise the world in your sales letter. Let people know you can cure cancer, fly them to the moon, or solve all of their financial worries. Now, you?re ready to actually write the ebook. Go through your sales letter and actually make good on all of the promises you made. This backward step internet marketing funnel is very effective in helping you to develop an ebook that actually sells. But, some people have already developed the ebook and know they want to know how to market it. This is the position most people find themselves in. Unfortunately, you are at a disadvantage, but it can be overcome. In this case, the ebook internet marketing strategy involves figuring out the delivery mechanism (such as clickbank), then writing the appropriate sales letter for that medium using your ebook as the basis for the sales letter. You may find that you need to revise parts of the ebook based on holes in the sales letter. You may want to make promises in the sales letter that your ebook doesn?t deliver. If this is the case, go back and rework the ebook so that you can deliver what is promised in the sales letter. In sum, there are three steps to an ebook internet marketing strategy. First, you have to determine the delivery mechanism. Then you have to write a sales letter. Finally you write the book. If you have done this backwards, it will mean more work in the short term because you will have to correct the mistakes you?ve made. But, it can be done. Don?t believe that just because you?ve written a great ebook that people will buy it. You have to have an ebook internet marketing strategy to sell it. How To Generate Traffic Using Twitter

[category ]
[tags ]

Social media marketing is the "it" thing in the marketing world right now and Twitter is at the very top of that list. If you haven't already become involved in this technique, it's time that you started. If you are somehow now aware of Twitter, it's a service that allows you to send out short messages (Tweets) to all of the people who have decided to follow you. It started out as a way to talk to your friends and family (and to keep track of famous celebrities), but has quickly turned into a powerful marketing method. However, before you get started, you should understand what Twitter is NOT. It is not a platform that you should be using to directly "sell" your products or services. If all you do is send out messages asking people to buy something, it will not work. The key to successfully using Twitter is to use it to build relationships with your followers and to give them value. People want to know that they are doing business with a person, not just a website and Twitter lets you do that. People can ask you questions and you can easily interact with them. You can also make it fun by running contests and occasionally offering a discount. Another way to use Twitter is to provide value to your followers. They are following you because they are interested in your business. Give them fun facts of information about the topics they're interested in. As you continue to give them quality information, they will begin to think of you as an authority. That will lead them to want to check out your website to see what else you can teach them. Twitter can be a powerful marketing method if it's used correctly. Provide value with your followers and interact with them, don't just sell to them. Pinterest for Business. Easy Peasy Product Promotion

[category ]
[tags ]

Pinterest for Business – Easy Peasy Product Promotion Pinterest is one social media site that is just a few steps behind Facebook and Twitter. Even if it is trailing from behind, there is no doubt that Pinterest is one unique social networking site you should consider. For marketers and business owners out there, it is strongly suggested that you switch to their business accounts to get the most out of your marketing endeavour. If you want to get the ball rolling, here are some easy ways to promote your product on Pinterest! 1. Group your products or services. One creative way to get the most out of Pinterest would be to create your own visual boards. A good way to start is to organize and group your photos based on a general theme. For instance, if you are catering to fashionable clothes, it would be ideal to group it according to season and type. You can group your photos based on color, design, ingredients, locations, materials and almost naything you categorize them. Do not sort all your photos in a single board. Make sure to create several boards with varying themes. You can repeat a picture to different themes that you see fit. 2. Highlight top products. Your most popular images can now be tracked via Pinterest Web Analytics. You can use this tool to see which image has the most number of re-pins, shares and likes. This is a good tool that helps you to identify which products or images you should upload more often. You need to entice your prospective consumers so they will visit your Pinterest account often. Listen to them and try to meet their needs halfway. After all, that is what business is all about. 3. Social Media. Although Pinterest is already social networking and social media site in itself, it is always best to pair it with other sites in order to increase your reach and broaden your horizon. Every time you upload a photo, make sure to also share it in on your Facebook, Twitter and other social networking accounts. With this, you will be able to expand the reach of your product picture not only in Pinterest, but in other sites as well. Pinterest truly has a unique way that allows marketers and business owners to market their products and services. It has its own capabilities in boosting a business. Do not be left out. Join the Pinterest bandwagon and start pinning your business on the boards. John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com. Pinterest for Business. Effective Tactics for Building your Brand on Pinterest

[category ]
[tags ]

Pinterest for Business – Effective Tactics for Building your Brand on Pinterest Before websites were used to market different kinds of brands, business owners relied on magazines, brochures, and other forms of print media advertising that allowed them to post images and articles of their products. <p> However, this was very expensive and it didn’t guarantee that their content would be read by their customers, nor was there any guarantee that the customers would buy the magazine they are featured in. Back in the days, the more popular a magazine was, the more expensive it was to get featured. Of course, things are different now. It’s easier to post content on websites minus the expenses and hassle of posting on a magazine, and one of the most interesting social networking sites that businesses should not ignore is Pinterest. <p>  Pinterest is a virtual pin-board that allows you to PIN images and videos on your pin-board. The site, despite being 3 years old, is now keeping up with the giants like Facebook and Twitter. Another bonus for business owners is that Pinterest welcomes them by providing them with Business Accounts loaded with marketing tools. So, how can business owners create an effective campaign for building their brands on Pinterest? <p> 1.) Keep it short and sweet – Don’t pour out the information of your image or video on the title and description field. You have to let your images and videos speak for themselves. By keeping your title and description fields short and concise, you are giving your customers more time to browse your page without having to be bothered by reading a lot. Remember, you only have 15 minutes to keep their attention (15 minutes is the average time a user spends on the site every day). <p> 2.) Keep connected – Pinterest allows you to connect your profile to other social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, which would increase your brand awareness by threefold. This works by a form of syndication. Whatever you post on Pinterest will end up posted on Facebook and Twitter, or the activity is reflected on both of these sites with a link to your Pinterest profile. <p> 3.) Re-pin and pin different content – Almost 80% of the pins found on Pinterest are re-pins, which should give you an idea of how content is circulated on the site. It doesn’t mean that re-pins are like plagiarizing content. You are simply showing users that you like something and you want them to know about it. They will do the same for your Pinterest profile and your business content. This is the core concept of re-pin etiquette. When done right, it shouldn’t take long for people to notice your website and how you are different from your competitors. The more consistent you are with your Pinterest activities, the more authority you’ll build towards your brand.  <p> John Silva is the Owner of http://InstantComputerBiz.com  ( Office ),  http://www.instantcomputerbiz.com/default.cfm?pageid=496350 ( CBStore ),
