Hey, it's Raelyn & Jon-jon here.

"What makes you different?," a blog reader once asked us when we were, just starting out.

While it was a simple question, it caught us off guard.

Honestly, we've never been the popular kidz at school.
Nerdy types, rarely are...you  see!

While we were smart and nearly always at the top of the class, we
 were never in the limelight much,except perhaps for being a teacher's pet. We had a few good friends but was never the social butterfly that everyone knew the jocks to be, for example.

We don't, 
really think that we're the most interesting persons, in the world. We live pretty typical, unremarkable lives and like typical things, like most people  etc...

When it came to being online, I did the same mundane things as everyone else did...

We were afraid that if we veered off from the "tried-and-tested,"or 
"tried-and-true" way of doing things,  that everyone was seeing success with, my sales would stop... and I didn't want to rock the boat. I know, irrational fears.   Go figure!

One day, we just decided to be OURSELVES ( HE was HE, S
HE was SHE & I was ME! )
You Know ( ME, MY SELF & I ).

It wasn't like we were living a facade, or was a fake or phony, but we really wanted to embrace OURSELVES ( MYSELF ) and do things in OUR ( MY ) business that makes US ( ME ), happy. And WE tend to mind our own biz, beyond  that -- something you learn in BIG cities like NYC, NY ...if and ONLY if, 
you wanted to stay alive.

We would implemented stuff like prayer Fridays, Saturdays  & Sundays (for the 3 Major Religions, God took the weekend off  ;-) ; )< in my Facebook groups (1) & 'Secret' 
Facebook groups (2) ...here and there. Yep, even though the group in each case is solely about online business, not about philosophy, religion or spirituality. We wanted to bless people, so we did.

We even decided to start writing S.
H.O.R.T.E.R. (gasp!) blog posts for certain topics because we wanted the articles to be actionable rather than just ramming information "down people's throats," or just pure rambling.

We switched from Teachable to host online courses, because we believe very strongly in providing an unparalleled user experience for students. Quality vs quantity matters so much to us, even if it literally costs us an opportunity (or two) or in short, has an opportunity cost.

We became 100% okay with showing images of how we look online. We liked hiding behind  words, and technology, but not anymore!

So what happened after that? Did sales go up? Did more people flood to the site?

Well, nothing happened. hahahaha, 
hehehehe

But after awhile, we started noticing that certain people were gravitating towards us. And most importantly? They usually like us and our brand, a lot, apparently.

Normally, these are positive people who are ready to take action. They are the ones that dream big, believe BIG, ASK BIG, Receive BIG & Live LARGE, yes, they are ambitious, like us. Mindful amicable people that are full of kind words. They love actionable stuff. They believe in providing quality vs quantity and creating a sustainable business, rather than taking shortcuts and cheating people.

People started to remember us. People started to engage with us and our team now 50K, strong. Sales went up and UP and UP!

Hence, we thought that it would be awesome, if we shared with you three (3) actionable tips & tricks for you to stand out from the crowd and be noticed:

★ 1. What makes your blog & business uniquely you?

When you understand yourself and what your business stands for, you start making blog + biz special. You manifest your core values, Self-Respect, 
Self-Honesty & Self-Responsibility ( with  the premise that, "If you can do for self, you can do, same for others." It becomes second nature to, do so! )

Perhaps, it's time for you to do some reflection and introspection on what you can offer
that the rest of your industry cannot. AND in the process, be your true self!

That would mean you can charge ANY price for your products and services because people are paying for something that's uniquely you.( That's given what the market will bear, price wise, assuming you have a market!? )

2. Is your blog visually different?

Yes, your content is important, but design is equally important as it is what gives people the first impression and last impression ( and many intermittent  impressions between those ).

From website design, to the colors you use, and the visuals you have, everything counts.
We try to be original, but understand that little is different under the sun and why reinvent the wheel, as it were. Of course we evolve overtime given algorithmic, formulaic, process and procedure, changes, as time marches on. 
All Change = Mix of Order + Randomness,  mathematically speaking 
( sorry, I couldn't help myself  ).

I would bet you that the best content in the world cannot keep you at a particular website if it is ugly like, sh!+ erh, ah, I mean, poop.

If you visit our blogz, you'll realize that our blogz, have a very distinct feel, and look to it.

What can visual marketing do for you and your blog to make your stand out? Use it and take control, of how your business and brand "you," looks today.

★ 3. Position yourself for success

One of the biggest problems people face when they first start is trying to be every single thing in the world to everyone. An impossible task at best. You can't  be  a purple, people pleaser. 

You've to know this: Apple started with computers. So did the now defunct "Wang (Computers). "So computers have been around since the beginning of time, Eve had an 'Apple' and Adam had a 'Wang,'  ...so, sorry, couldn't help myself,... but I digress... to continue... 
KFC - Kentucky Fried Chicken, the best chicken in town, even-though they have a great 
coleslaw they're know for their fried chicken...  McDs, even-though, they have a good breakfast, / BK they're known for Burgers, Nike is known for their shoes. Taylor Swift was first known for her country music. Wal-mart for how affordable their stuff is, they have "the lowest prices." You get my point.

Having a niche, posturing or positioning that is rare & unique and "you" would position you for success and differentiate you from the tons of other bloggers/ online business owners in the world.

Niche yourself properly, my friend. Find your tribe and specialize first. It brings you money faster. The money follows...
