Fwd: Five(5) Reasons Companies Need Your Help

Hi,

Why do companies work with recruiters?

It's one of the first questions I get when I explain to people what I do in this recruiting business, so here are the top reasons!

  1. Tight Job Market - Most of the best jobs and companies are located in big cities. Because of this, there is a lot of competition that they have to deal with in the marketplace, which is good for you as a recruiter! This means that they do not easily get people coming into their funnel applying to their job and need someone to help them find them.
  2. No Time - In addition to the tight job market, most people running companies do not have time to jump on a bunch of calls and screen jobseekers. That is exactly why they need someone else to do it on a part-time or full-time basis.
  3. Losing Money- Every day that goes by that their vacant positions are not filled, the company is losing money. That is exactly why they are willing to pay a fee of 20,000 or $30,000: because they are already losing money, so it is a good business decision to hire someone who can fix this problem for them.
  4. No People Skills / "Sales" - In my experience, lots of these companies have really techy guys behind the wheel but they do not have the best communication skills. When I say "people / sales skills", I mean is someone who has good communication skills and can help get a deal across the finish line.
  5. Having Someone Mediate Helps - A LOT! - Truth is, it's very awkward for a hiring manager to deal directly with someone who they want to hire. Especially when it comes to things like negotiating the salary and the details of the offer, most hiring managers simply do not want to do it and it is for the best. It is better for both parties to have a recruiter that acts as a middleman so that things do not get too awkward. Trust me, I have seen companies try to deal directly with candidates and often what happens is one or the other does is not completely honest about their expectations and the deal cannot get done. Having a recruiter as a middleman allows them both to speak honestly and with full transparency and have YOU relay the details to both sides and get the deal done.
  6. ETC.

So there you have it! These are the top reasons companies work with recruiters.

This is a viable need in the market place and companies need YOUR help to fill their open roles, and they will pay you well for it.

In tomorrow's lesson, we are going to dive into who are the decision-makers in a company so you can know who you want to reach out to in order to get your first client.
