We thought we would quickly write something to share with you something cool that we did recently... which has worked amazingly well in the online blog + business.
BTW, it's a month after our birthday today (7th November)... so we're willing and able to address or answer any questions, concerns or comments you may have tomorrow because we'll be off to continue celebrating, okay?
(edit: ok I ended up spending 1 hour on this email but it's worth it if y'all learned something new!)
Here's how we got beta testers/ testimonials for a new front-end product, while making money doing so... a Funded Proposal! :-)
For those of you who don't know what a front-end product is, a front-end product is is a low-ticket / tripwire / smaller product. It serves many functions, one of which is to convert random browsers into paying customers more quickly & easily... This helps to "welcome" people into your economy or eco-system and gives them a taste of the value you provide... so that they'll get your signature offerings in the future.
I will be launching a new $27-$47 maybe $127-147 (I have not decided on a final price-point yet, we're split testing to see what the market will bear) front-end product:
A toolkit of email newsletter ideas & templates etc. so that you can nurture your subscribers like the 'Rockstar' that, you are and keep them HAPPY & PROFITABLE... without spending hours thinking about what you should be sending your list & then having to write the email or ad campaign out from scratch etc.
How many of y'all skip broadcasts?! I know almost everyone does at some point because we aren't robots :P

But I digress...
Back to today's topic... here's how we did it.
So a few weeks ago, we actually only had 'bout half the template(s) toolkit created. (It has 100+ email newsletter content ideas & 100+ broadcast templates, PLUS newsletter content planning sheets, but at that point I had only written out 50+ templates. AND we're still working on ad campaigns.)
We thought - HEY - we're itching for our people to get their hands on this ALREADY.
So we offered this smaller (but still awesome) part of the template toolkit out as an affiliate bonus for an affiliate campaign we did (The Genius Blogger's Toolkit, if y'all are familiar with that) :-) ;-) ;-)
Basically, if they bought via my affiliate link, they got this small but awesome part of the template toolkit as a thank you bonus.
Just to see if we have a market for it or not.
That spiked up affiliate sales dramatically. We ended up pretty high up on the leaderboard (subjective, but I'm happy with the results) - even though we only sent some, 3, 6, 9 emails! All toll...
Then, when we sent out the affiliate bonuses, & bennes we sent PERSONAL emails out with the affiliate bonus, some 50K. Then, we invited them to be a beta tester of the proposed, product.
Almost everyone signed up!
Now we have a ton of people ready to give up testimonials without much effort.
Plus we made some more money, always a nice to have, out of the process because we maximized affiliate conversions!
How's this relevant to your business?
You almost definitely need beta testers for any new products you are / will be launching, to see if it'll work out as planned or desired.
Getting your people to provide feedback and smooth out your product will help you to release a quality product. PLUS some may give you testimonials which help a ton with social proof and getting more customers when you launch it (soft launch) and then officially launch product.
Even though it's a "beta" test, your product has to be rock solid. People don't give testimonials for bad products. You'll have to, in a word, 'rock' their world or their socks off.
This hack is a smart and simple way to find people AND make some $$ for your effort, out of the process because you maximize your affiliate revenue simultaneously. Hence the 'Funded Proposal' concept, selling something before its done or completed.
It works best with live affiliate marketing campaigns (e.i. when something you're recommending is only open for a short period of time/ having a limited-time sale offering) - because you get a burst of beta testers at one go.
So... keep an eye out for any affiliate marketing promotions that you can promote to your readers & community... and then tie it into or with any products you may be launching (or re-launching) in the next few weeks/ months!
