Fwd: My dog has betrayed me (financially)

Hello,

Look I'm not going to lie to you - I am not happy right now.

My dog, Striker, has let me down in the biggest way, imaginable.

For whatever reason, he decided to grow some kind of weird mole thing next to his...

erh ah ...manhood.

And at first, I really didn't think it was that big of a deal.

"It will probably fall off" (I'd figure)

"Nah I think he'll just kinda get rid of it on his own - that's what dogs do" (In use)

"No no it's definitely not getting any bigger"

... all of that was false.

In an effort to punish me for not allowing him to eat cat food, Striker grew this thing to a ridiculous size.

So, yes. Finally, I gave in and took him to the vet for treatment -- surgery.

I'm not going to disclose how much this surgery *actually* cost, but let's just say I could buy like 800 cats with the amount I paid for this vet bill, and them some.

Needless to say, I'm not happy. And to be honest, he isn't happy either. The cone of shame doesn't play around, nor does it work very well:

So here we are, going out of town soon for a personal finance conference... erh ah I mean summit or some such and my fool of a dog is walking around ramming into every single piece of furniture in our house with this stupid cone.

It's embarrassing. Now this time, my mother-in-law is helping us out and watching him while we're gone.

But typically, we use the same pet sitter every time we go out of town.

And hey - she's great. Here's why:

- She's always on time.
- Our animals never die when we're out of town.
- She does the thing where she sends funny pictures of our animals every day just so we can be 100% *sure* that they aren't dead ( and she waters the plants ).

It's awesome. Every time we pay her, I'm like: "Man... what a great idea for work to do on the side. I should pet sit." (some folks walk dogs)

But then I realize that I'm probably not mature enough to responsibly keep a lot of different animals alive all at the same time.

So that's not the best side gig for me (although I do have plenty of M$$M readers that do it and make some extra cash).

If you don't feel responsible enough to keep animals (and/ or plants) alive either - don't worry fam. I've got you.

Go here for a list of great side gigs you can do instead.

Just though you'd wanna know...

- Johnny
