Lately I have been thinking a lot about how I can grow my blog + biz smartly. And one thing that has been on my mind?

Focusing on building online assets that last.

I am very obsessed with funnels, evergreen content, and things that will work without me putting in extra effort in the future, because you want to make your business work for you, not the other way round.

You may not notice this, but there are several biz assets you can build that will last you for years, and may even grow with time.

Here are some online assets that will last and bring you traffic, subscribers and income long after you've set it up:

A blog is an excellent example.

Even if a popular blogger decides not to post on her blog for a month, traffic remains the same (and may even increase!). Visitors still arrive. Sales via the website still happens.

Evergreen webinars are another.

Evergreen webinars are automated webinars. They generate sales for you automatically again and again, without you doing anything. Its value does not erode even if you don't do anything.

I use Everwebinar to run my evergreen webinar funnel.

An automated email sequence is another example.

If you suddenly have other commitments and can't spare time to email your list, the automated sequence ensures that your new subscribers are still nurtured. (list building 101 tips here if you need them)

So what are some examples of online assets that won't last?

Do note that even if an online asset won't last, it doesn't mean that you should ignore it - but engage in these activities for a "boost" of income and results.

A great example of something that won't last is providing 1:1 client services.

Something that doesn't last (but will bring you lots of moolah), is providing coaching. Your time cannot be multiplied, try as you might.

However, taking on a small number of 1:1 clients is very useful when you're just starting out (lotsa income without having to get hundreds of students) and even for more successful entrepreneurs, in terms of knowing the exact pains and struggles of someone in your target audience.

Product launches require a lot of manual work.

Launching a product is definitely very effective (and something I encourage), but bare in mind that once the launch is over, the show ends and you have to put in effort again if you want the launch to be repeated.

I'm writing this email to nudge you to think big as an entrepreneur. :)
