Hello!
Today, I just wanted to send a quick email about today's newest post, as well as send over a few that are quite popular right now.
10 Easy Road Trip Snack Recipes - It's warming up and school is almost out, and that means that more people are going to be taking road trips! Now, while road trips can be an affordable way to travel, it is also very easy to buy snacks every time you need to get gas or use the restroom. Even though they are usually somewhat cheap, the cost can really add up. That means you will probably be spending much more money than if you made your own road trip snacks in advance.
12 Work From Home Jobs That Can Earn You $1,000+ Each Month - Do you want to learn how to earn money from home? Do you want to learn how to earn money from home? Here are 12 work from home jobs that can earn you over $1,000 each month! There are tons of work from home jobs that already exist. And, in today's world, there are more and more jobs online, and this trend is expected to continue well into the future.
How My Wife and I Paid Off $62,000 in Debt in 7 Months - James and his wife paid off $62,000 in debt in just 7 months!
12 Easy Ways To Earn Free Amazon Gift Cards - Did you know that there are several ways to earn Amazon gift cards? Yes, there are! Learning how to earn free Amazon gift cards can help you pay for things throughout the year for free, such as Christmas or other holiday gifts, birthday gifts, household items, and more.
10 Easy Instapot Recipes – My New Favorite Gadget! - We've always had a slow cooker. I bought one about ten years ago for a whopping $14, and I've used it multiple times a week ever since. I've definitely gotten a ton of value from that small purchase and decided to upgrade to an Instapot since my crockpot was falling apart. I now use my Instapot probably 5 times a week.
Thanks!

Hello!
Do you want to learn how to earn money from home?
There are tons of work from home jobs "Remote Work," "Telework" or "Telecommute" jobs that already exist. And, in today's world, there are more and more jobs online, and this trend is expected to continue well into the future. I know they get more out of me since I work from home.
Some work from home jobs involve you working for someone else, or you may be able to even start your own business and work for yourself.
And, yes, you may even be able to earn a full-time income from home.

There are several websites that cater to this 'gig economy' for example:

So, if you are looking to start making more money or if you want a new career path that lets you earn money from home, this list is especially for you.
Over the past few years I have been able to interview several people who are making money working from home. They are doing their own thing, and they are rocking at life.
Hopefully, you had the chance to read their interviews on my blog, but in case you missed any of them, this post rounds them all up for you.
Thanks!

Jon-jon

Hey

It’s interesting that during this past decade and the mass-explosion internet enabled smartphones that old ideals are more ingrained than ever.

Look:

...many through the ever expanding “gig economy”...
that many people will still tell you the ONLY way to be guaranteed a good job and good money is:

“Go to college and get a degree.”

That’s what Ankur was told his whole life.
Here’s the thing… Ankur was born in India.
(I was born in Africa and was told the same thing.)

When he was growing up his parent’s didn’t have much money at all.
(Like me), he worked his butt of and he did go to college and got a couple of  degrees, expecting to have a great job when he got out.

The reality was that the only job he could find barely paid minimum wage.
And he hated it.

(For me that was only a stepping stone. Over the years however I was able through Computer Science, I have a couple of degrees like MSCS and I can get jobs that paid over $100K in my 3rd career, in life you'll have about 6 careers on avg., figuring that's where the money was.

( I was an (a):
(1) Artist & Photographer (HS Art & Design NY NY - Vocational Diploma),

(2) Social Worker/ Teacher CUNY/ CCNY- John J College of Criminal Justice, { jjay.cuny.edu/ ccny.cuny.edu/ brooklyn.cuny.edu } (BA/MA - Forensic Psychology),

(3) Software/ Systems Engineer LIU/NYU { LIU.edu/b'klyn, NYU.edu/b'klyn
Engineering.NYU.edu } MSCS/ PhD Computer Science & Engineering (Mostly on Scholarship/ Fellowship like SEEK, Lyberty, OVR, & NSF/ NSA  etc)
(Resume: Linkedin.com/in/johnsilver) )

Not only that… but he felt like he had wasted four years of his life! ( In my case at least 8 years ) So, despite working brutal 12+ hour days, he was always out of money by the 15th of each month.

Like most people who like to eat… he relied on is credit cars… and before long he had racked up $30,000 in debt. (I racked up $50,000 in debt).

Miserable and frustrated, Ankur (Jon) was desperate for a way out.
And one day… he found it.

Today Ankur makes millions of dollars working… working very part time… and he is able to do it from anywhere in the world that has an internet connection (aprox. 185 countries and counting).

In fact, last year he even set a goal to travel the world non-stop for a full year.
And he did it.

( I've done that several times, chasing contracts, lived and worked in ie. Portugal, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait/Iraq, Syria & Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, & Kirghistan etc.).

And he actually made MORE money while he was OCONUS vs CONUS!

( Over Seas or OCONUS you get all expense paid gigs, so you bank your paycheck (play the Stock .and./.or. Forex Markets) and use it only for amenities you can't get otherwise, like eating at a nice restaurant with a date, if that's legal in the country you're in.

In addition to, base pay you get 35% Hardship, 35% Hazardous Duty pay, $1,000 premium pay for eac. mon. you survive, 2  - 30 days paid vacation, with that, two airline eTkts to either:

(1) Frankfurt Main from Kuwait City for, example .or.
(2) Home of Record .or.
(3) Anywhere equidistant in the world etc.
And the usual corporate benefits (Insurance, EIP - Emp. Incentive Program Awards, Raises etc.)...)

So what exactly did Ankur do to make his millions?

It's the "Share Economy," "Gig Economy" Folks!

To your abundant success!
See you at the top,

Jon-jon

P.S. A lot of people are struggling to live the life of their dreams. Most are far, far from it.

Fwd: Are these vehicles the secret to financial independence?

Subject: Are these vehicles the secret to financial independence?

Hi,

It's story time:

So a good friend of mine named Grant Sabatier ( who recently wrote an awesome book called Financial Freedom that you can buy on Amazon ), came into town the other day and we went to breakfast to catch up.

He's doing a book tour all over the country and putting together events for people that are interested in reaching Financial Independence.
His transportation of choice for the tour?
A van.
Specifically... one like this:
So after we wrapped up breakfast, I asked him to give me a van tour.
I'm not going to lie - this thing was a trip haha.
It had two beds in it, a sink, little stove, and even hardwood floors!
Now a few things:
1. Grant knows a ton about Volkswagen vans from the 80's. It was pretty impressive.
2. He mentioned that people are customizing these vans like crazy right now and living in them all over the country.
Here's what I learned from all of this...
... I could not live in a van.
I know I'm supposed to be a free spirit millennial and all of that, but it just wouldn't work for me.
That's without even asking my wife, who would absolutely give me a hard no.
But believe it or not, readers do ask me fairly often about the whole #Vanlife thing. And it extends to the RV lifestyle, and converted double decker buses and catamaran boats ...the step up in this life of adventure...
I've even interviewed people on M$M who have paid off a ton of debt living in small vans, travel trailers or campers!
It's crazy. I mean it's cool... but still crazy haha.
Anyway...
That conversation reminded me about a post I wrote a few months ago about living in a van.
I went through the pros, the cons, the costs...
... basically all the stuff you need to know about living in a vehicle.
So if you've ever wanted to do something a little adventurous to get ahead financially...
... or you just want to know what it's like to live in a super-swanky van or RV...
-Jon- jon

P.S. - *braces for "down by the river" Chris Farley jokes*
P.P.S. - If you happen to live in a van... have you customized it? I'm legitimately curious about this haha.

Fwd: Less Stuff, More Freedom

---------- Forwarded message ---------

Subject: Less Stuff, More Freedom

Hey!
It's been a few years now since we got rid of the majority of our belongings and moved into an RV (and now boat) and back to yet another RV. Becoming a minimalist wasn't a goal at the time – it just naturally happened, necessary for the transitions...
When we sold/rented our house and moved into an RV, we had to give away a ton of our stuff so that we could start living minimally in a smaller space. Then did the reverse when we bought another house.
We gave a lot of stuff to family members, had neighbors come by and take whatever they wanted, Salvation Army came to our home to do a big pickup, we had a yard sale and posted online some of the stuff we had left over, to get some of our purchase funds back and more. We didn't sell a single thing, or very little of it was sold, unfortunately instead we gave almost all of it away. Which ends up being a tax write off at end of year beginning of next.
I know some people will think I'm crazy for not really being gun - ho about selling anything, but that's not really the point of this blog post. The point is that living with less stuff is possible. And, there is already so much waste in the world, recycling is a good thing and now that we're sailing, and RVing again, as we dock we're seeing so much of the garbage in the water – and it is truly disappointing.
Living on a sailboat or RV means living with less stuff or living a minimal lifestyle. Our boat a Catamaran is a little bigger than the RV we used to own, but it has even less storage space – we had to get rid of even more of our stuff when we switched homes.
I know living on sailboat or RV isn't the norm, but neither is living with less stuff.
When you have a traditional home you are probably used to owning more because you simply have more space to keep things. But, as time has passed, people are living in larger and larger homes and adding even more stuff. And the stuff is everywhere, 'coz in our lives we go thru about 11 homes on average.
Just think about the average home in 1950, which was less than 1,000 square feet. Fast forward to 2017, the average home size has increased to over 2,400 square feet (according to the U.S. Census Bureau).
Please head to Less Stuff, More Freedom to read the full blog post. If you'd like to read this later, please save it to Pinterest.

My thank you for your time, attention and consideration.
