| Hey, I am reaching out to you today to discuss some changes that are taking place in a few weeks with the hosting at Wealthy Affiliate. We just returned from our annual private conference in Las Vegas where we spent a week discussing the direction of Wealthy Affiliate and some of the updates/changes coming in the year ahead. This year one of the many key topics was the hosting platform here at WA, and the industry leading Managed Wordpress service we are offering. Over the past 8 years we have actively been working to innovate and evolve our hosting network, including advancements in Wordpress hosting technology that have been recognized by the Canadian government. The problem has been that our hosting quality is "undermined" simply because we offer too much, and it is just "included" in the membership. We are making some strategic shifts in terms of pricing, brand and organization. Our first one is going to be reducing the number of websites for both Premium and Starter members, to something that is more in line with the price point (but still incredibly cost efficient) with other stakeholders in the Managed Wordpress hosting industry. Our hosting is a leader in terms of speed, security, reliability and power in the Managed Wordpress hosting industry. Just for some perspective, here are some of the price points of the Managed Wordpress hosting companies that we view as similar in terms of quality in the industry.
We are moving to updating the hosting plans in preparation of some significant launches in May, and the introduction of a stand alone Managed Wordpress Hosting BRAND in the summer of 2020. If you are an existing Premium member, these updates WILL NOT impact you. If you are a Premium member before March 16th, 2020 you are going to be grandfathered into the current hosting structure. So, if you are a Premium member before March 16th, you are going to continue to have access to 50 websites within your membership (which is ridiculous value). People upgrading after March 16th are going to get 10, which is still an incredible value if you were purchasing hosting alone!
