Whenever we start working with a new client, we ask them for one thing:
  
We want them to be truthful about where they're at right now— not only at where they want  to be. What resources they have to work with-- to get where they want to go.
  
They need to take a step back and clearly assess what they have working for them, and most importantly, the challenges they face that stops them from growing their business or going thru to the next level.
  
I'm going to get to why in a minute. Because... But first, here's an example of the type of results our clients get when they clearly assessed their situation going forward--- into our program.
  
The challenge...
  
Our client struggled with diversifying their income stream. They'd get big results from one project but found it hard to land the bread and butter stuff consistently with other projects.
  
That led to inconsistency in the business, which led to mediocre or bad decisions.
  
After working with The !nfluencer Project, they had their biggest week in two years, no to mention year, which just closed:
  
$1.5 Million and then some....
  
Most importantly, that money came from at least three projects (4th one is secret (not ready for primetime)), rather than just one. That means three areas of the business now have something to work on and can generate revenue, consistently.
  
That client was honest about the problems they faced and the resources they had to work with and had a plan to get where they wanted to go.
  
In this case, having only one large project at a time created risk. If that project went under, our client stood to lose a lot of money. It doesn't make sense to put all your eggs in one basket.
  
Being able to get three good projects, doesn't only mean that the client makes better use of their resources. It also means that they're not going to struggle, if one of those projects doesn't work out.
  
Here's the message...
  
If you're not clear about where you're at and the challenges you currently face, it's going to be impossible to diagnose the problem. Unless of course you believe, it's possible that which is deemed, impossible.
  
The people trying to help you end up diagnosing the wrong issue. And that means that you end up with the wrong 'medicine'— in this case, the wrong strategy. Unless and until they get course correction.
  
It's like going into the doctor's office with a sore throat and telling them that your arm is the problem. The smart doctor will point this out and recommend a solution or treatment procedure for the sore throat.
  
Now, an honest self-assessment can be quite difficult, for some.
  
So many coaches and consultants avoid it because they're embarrassed about the fact that they're not as successful as they want to be. 
Some are so successful they fear there is no where else to go, and don't know what they don't know, that's in their minds --no other level to attain, 
but there is always room for improvement, we're after all not perfect and neither is the world.
  
But if you're not honest on the problems that you face, you'll never achieve the success that you want.
  
You'll end up stuck in the same place because you're trying to cure a problem that isn't there.
