I started using them in China and other places, because Hotmail, Facebook and Netflix etc. were blocked.
It was a perfect storm for me.
I used the software because I needed it.
I had special insight because I lived and worked in China and other closed countries.
Plus, VPNs pay recurring commission to their affiliates, for use as well as subscription fees.
