Long story short - the author's name is Bobby Hoyt, and he's a former band director that left his teaching job to run M$M after paying off $40,000 of student loan debt in 18 months etc.

Crazy, right?

Since then, he has grown M$M to reach millions of readers per year, and his site has helped thousands of people make more money, save more money, and pay off debt etc.

In the beginning of the site (2010-2015-ish), all he focused on was being cheap -- frugality.

Basically the message was: "be as cheap as humanly possible so you can get ahead financially" -- live below your means.

But after talking to literally thousands of M$$M readers... and he realized something pretty important:

There isn't one path to success in personal finance.

Maybe you want to be ultra-frugal and pay off your debt quickly and start investing, or maybe you don't want to give up as much stuff and take your time getting to where you want to go from where you are now.

The site is designed to help you do personal finance the way that you want to, without someone breathing over your neck and scolding you for being "wrong" or complaining, condemning and criticizing.

Over the years he has seen a little bit of everything from his audience:

Moms struggling to raise kids while dealing with $150,000 of student loan debt.

Recent college grads that aren't making enough money at their day jobs to pay the bills or save money.

People who are doing alright, but just want to figure out how to make some extra cash to do fun stuff like take more vacations or get some boujee wine every once in a while (wine is my jam).

Everyone comes to the site in a different place, from a different place, which is cool because we all learn from each other in the M$$M community. That's while you see a ton of different kinds of content to help you no matter where you are right now.
