Fwd: One little trick to maximize your Insta Stories...

Hi,
João! here... How are you enjoying the IG - Instagram Bootcamp collection so far? Have you gone through all the different lessons yet?
If you haven't yet, remember you can access all the lessons right here.
I'd love to hear what you've found most helpful so far, or if there's anything you'd like to learn more about that I haven't covered?
Feel free to hit 'reply,' I love hearing from my students! ;)
I've been knee-deep in accounting recently and I think it's rubbing off because strangely, I'm feeling super excited about sharing some stats and numbers with you today (I promise this is all IG related, so stay with me)...
Did you know that people are spending more time watching Instagram Stories than they are scrolling through their feed?!
And did you know that more than 70% of users are watching Instagram Stories with the sound OFF?
(I don't know about you, but I'm definitely guilty of watching Stories when I should be doing something else...).
Now, being an entrepreneur or content creator, and using Instagram as a business tool - what does that mean for you?
Stories let our followers get a glimpse into your real, day-to-day life. Believe it or not: your followers want to get to know the real you!
You can use Stories to create videos that communicate our message and that truly connect with your audience (another fun stat: video is the fastest way to build trust and it's been proven that people who see you on video for more than 420 minutes are more likely to invest in you AND pay higher prices!).
BUT people's attention span in short. If they get to your Stories, and all they see is your face and mouth moving, but they have no idea what you're talking about (remember, 70% of your followers will have the sound off!), they're likely to skip ahead or exit.
We don't want that to happen because it shows the algorithm that they don't care about our content and we will end up being placed lower in their feed.
The solution?
It's so simple, actually:
Include captions!
They don't have to be word-for-word transcripts of what you're saying. All you want to do is summarize each "story frame" and use your captions as a way to engage your viewers (ask questions, tell them to DM you, use polls, etc.).
For example:
Still not sure how to go about this?
See you on the gram!
xo,  João
