HELLO!
Hi, I want to share something personal with you today, Friend.
One of my strongest limiting beliefs is that you can't have a successful blog, business, go to school, have a social life AND a happy relationship, simultaneously.
It might sound crazy to you but ever since I was a child, it seemed to me that the couples who were getting divorced were the ones who had "done well" in their careers or businesses, whereas the so called, "happily married" ones, were broke, unfortunately. And practice didn't make it perfect at first, 50% of those married, divorced - of those that tried again, were divorced at 75% rate.
You might know that I built my first business, the restaurant in Argentina, and it's sister in Spain --Madrid vs Buenos Aires-- to-get-her with my then-girlfriend/ ( her boyfriend ).
I was crazy in love with her ( she w/him ), convinced that she ( she thought he ) was the one - but unsurprisingly (to me at least), when it came to money and living in abundance, we were struggling, to say the least.
We also traveled back and forth to USA - NYC NY where we lived part of the year, had a pizzeria which is still there.
She left for Law School in BU.edu - Boston University Law, graduated and came back and wanted to marry, me. To make a long story sh!+, I mean short.
It wasn't until we broke up and I started out on my own, fully immersing myself into my business, that I became "successful" in my view.
But what does success, and living your dream mean, when you have no-one to share it with?
And is it really true that you can't have it all?
Those are the questions that I've been asking myself as I've been working on breaking through my limiting beliefs.
Whether you're single or not, I believe that money/ business (Blog + Biz) and relationships can be a point of conflict for many of us.
