Hi,
I think we have all thought about it. I mean, now that Pinterest Pinterest is becoming a new household name, there is little that wouldn’t call for a comparison between it and Facebook and Twitter... It is easy to forget that these social networking giants were all once startups as well. They were struggling with servers, funding and the constant brainstorming about how to get more users faster.
Every new startup goes through the very same process, Google and Facebook and Twitter... are no exception.
If two out of three people in the world don't have access to a technology that's crucial to your business, what's the most logical course of action?
Understand now, that they're successful, if they were say 'countries' they'd be tied and in league with India in Population (Users/ Month) in the 1.3BB + range, (China being 1st (w/ 1.386BB (2017), and India 2nd (w/ 1.339BB (2017)), currently in population).
Therefore, Google and Facebook for example, want to bring the internet to another 4.6BB people. Here's how...
They're very busy trying to connect the rest of the world, the other 2/3s, or so of the world's population. Google & facebook's race to connect the world is heating up!
The thing with Pinterest Pinterest is that it seems they have had a pretty smooth ride so far, ...so far so good, so good so far... if you disregard the fact that their server farms clogs up every once in a while.
Caveat: These ( stats, more below, in Infographic ) are of course really low numbers that don’t compare to Facebook or Twitter, ... but then again, Pinterest Pinterest is really young which should be taken into consideration.
My thanks, in advance for your time, attention and consideration.
